Colossians 3: 23 is the life-mantra of Sister Yvette Dupuis who is an active member of the Philipsburg Seventh-day Adventist(SDA) Church on St. Maarten: “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward.”

Sister Dupuis presently serves as the sole Sales Representative at the Simpson Bay branch of the RBC Royal Bank on St. Maarten. She is known for providing sound banking advice to financial consumers and consistently delivers an exceptional client experience. Recently, the RBC Royal Bank recognized her for achieving 208% of her branch sales targets. And, at the bank’s 32nd annual performance recognition ceremony, Sister Dupuis humbly accepted the prestigious Leo Award.

Sister Dupuis’ service to the lending institution mirrors her faithful contribution to God and the mission of His Church. She engages in minstry to youth and presently serves as the Children’s Ministry Leader in her local congregation as well as the St. Maarten SDA Children’s Ministry Coordinator. She enjoys witnessing for God and has represented the church at laity festivals and conference session meetings.

Church leaders lauded Sister Dupuis’ recognition. The pastor of the Philipsburg SDA Church, Pastor Vashni Cuvalay, expressed: “She is a committed supporter and member of the church. She has a passion for the work of God and is dedicated to a cause.” The Adventist Youth Coordinator on St. Maarten, Lavern Nelson, shared her joy: “We celebrate with you, Sister Yvette Dupuis, on achieving the highest performance rank on your job – the Leo Award. We are proud to call you “sister”.  May you continue to shine for Jesus in every way…Congratulations, on behalf us all on St. Maarten…”

In response to the accolades, Sister Dupuis directed attention to God, her Sustainer, “Yes I am happy for the award but it’s all about God and my church. Thank God.” Sister Dupuis’ service to the community is exemplified in the sentiments of Pastor Hesketh Matthew, Stewardship Director of the North Caribbean Conference: “The North Caribbean Conference is always appreciative of those who seek excellence through commitment and dedication. It is part of our stewardship responsibility to our church and our God.” The North Caribbean Conference oversees nine congregations and an accredited primary school on the Dutch side of St. Maarten.
